In 1945 when Billie Jean Stevens gave up her dream of an art career to
become a wife and mother, little did she imagine that her dream would
be realized in her daughters and then carried on through their daughters
as well. Three generations of Stevens women, along with members
of the extended family, including some very talented and dedicated
artists, make up this amazing company.
Billie raised her children to believe in themselves and to be creative.
"It's what is God-like within us," she said, "the ability to create."
She also warned the girls that "In order to grow, art must be shared."
Her daughters share their talent every day painting for a living,
painting their church walls, offering their time for charities like Art
for Cancer, and various school fundraisers. "We love what we do,"
D.J. says, "it's hard work sometimes, but it's also fun and satisfying."
